Copyright & DMCA policy

We respect intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same. This page explains our position, what we can act on, and how to send us a notice.

1. We host no content

Flash STB is client software. We do not operate a content service, and we do not host, store, cache, index, transmit, proxy or make available any television channel, stream, playlist, video file or programme guide.

The application is supplied empty and contains no default or suggested source. When a user configures a source, playback occurs directly between that user's device and the third-party server they entered. That traffic does not pass through our infrastructure, and we hold no copy of it and no record of it.

The practical consequence is that there is generally no material on our systems for us to remove in response to a copyright notice. Where infringing material is being distributed, it is being distributed by a third-party service that we do not operate, control, sponsor or have any relationship with. Notices concerning that material should be directed to that service and to its hosting provider.

2. What we can act on

We will act promptly on notices concerning:

  • Material on this website. Text, images or other material published by us at this domain.
  • Misuse of our application. Evidence that a third party is bundling, preinstalling, advertising or distributing Flash STB together with an unauthorised television service. This breaches our acceptable use policy and we will terminate the licences concerned.
  • Counterfeit or modified builds. Packages distributed under our name outside the official app stores. These are not ours and we will pursue their removal.
  • Infringement of our own rights. Use of the Flash STB name, logo or software without permission.

3. Sending a notice

Send notices to legal@digitalworldai.net with the subject line "Copyright notice". To be effective, and to comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)) where it applies, a notice must include all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list where multiple works are covered by a single notice.
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it — a specific URL on this website, or specific evidence of the misuse described in section 2.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on their behalf.

We acknowledge valid notices within five business days and act on them without undue delay. Incomplete notices may be returned for the missing information.

Please read section 1 before sending a notice about a stream. If your complaint concerns a channel or programme that a user has watched through our player, we are not the right recipient — we neither hold nor transmit that material, and we cannot remove it. We will tell you so, and we will act on anything within section 2 that your evidence does disclose.

4. Counter-notices

If material of yours was removed from this website and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address containing: your signature; identification of the material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; and your name, address and telephone number, together with a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court and to accept service of process from the complainant.

5. Repeat infringers

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the licences of users who are found to be repeat infringers, and we decline to license anyone we know to be distributing unauthorised content. This is set out in the acceptable use policy.

6. Rights holder cooperation

We will cooperate with rights holders and with law enforcement to the extent our records allow. Those records are limited by design: an activation record consists of a device identifier, activation status, purchase reference and the email address given at purchase. We hold no record of configured sources and no record of viewing. Disclosure is made where required by law or valid legal process — see the privacy policy.
